Birth Story
I went in at 1700 yesterday because my contractions were regulating and becoming painful. Plus I know how quickly I deliver, plus it’s my fourth. They sent me home because they didn’t have room for me and needed to come back when 2-3min apart. I was 5cm dilated and in pain when they sent me on my way. I didn’t even make it back to the car before my contractions ended up on top of each other and I was in tears and having to really breath through them. I was clenching to whatever i could.

I got back up to L&D at 1800, at this point I was feeling pressure and knew he was coming down. They admitted me at 1814. I delivered this baby at 1832. No joke. They didn’t even get the room prepped or an IV in time. They were running me down the hall in a freaking wheelchair 🤦🏼♀️ I wanted a freaking epidural. It was awful. If they admitted me at 1700 like I asked there would’ve been time!!! That pain was unreal.
The baby’s heart rate was at 60 and they couldn’t get it up but they only had one anesthesiologist on hand and he was in the OR so they couldn’t get me in the OR to rush him out. Instead they had to rotate me from side to side, to back, to hands and knees every contraction (which were on top of each other. That alone was awful when trying to make through a rapid transition. Thankfully I went from 5-10 in a half hour.
I’m forever traumatized. But he’s here and healthy, praise Jesus 🖤
