How many oz for newborn?

So I try to feed my newborn (10 days old) 2 oz every 2-3 hrs. Most of the time I have to wake him up to eat because all he does is sleep. He usually doesn’t eat all of the 2 oz and I’m nervous he’s not getting enough food.

I try to keep him awake by tickling his feet or rubbing his cheeks but he just doesn’t care. He also spits out his food when he eats and I don’t know why.

We went for his first drs appointment after having him and he went from his birth weight 7 pounds 11 oz to 7 pounds 6oz.

I know it’s common for babies to lose weight but we went to another weight check a week after his first drs visit and he only gained 3 oz back.

I feel like I’m doing something wrong since he didn’t gain back as much weight as I would like. So now we have another weight check in a week and hopefully he’ll gain more by then 🤞🏼. Also how many oz in a day should he be eating?
