First IUI failed :( 2nd round or IVF next?

Well ladies, AF showed today. 1st IUI a fail. How many of you went straight to IVF after first IUI?? Pcos, Endo, thin lining, and partner has 2% morphology...

I just got my first BFP on my 5th IUI. I might be worth it to try again.

My RE explained to me the chances of success are greater with the 2nd and 3rd iui because the first one they are still figuring out your meds and how your body responds etc. I went through 3, 2 of which ended up being chemical pregnancies so my RE thought ivf would be good to try to learn more. There are a lot of factors to consider, your finances, your emotions, your job, your partner... only you can make the decision. I rely heavily on my RE because I trust him and this is his area of expertise. Just some thoughts. Whatever you decide I wish you the best of luck

I did 3 and all failed but I thought it was worth the chance. But if insurance covers it for you I would go straight to ivf

For me 2 iui cost the same as 1 ivf so id move on after #2

We would probably go to IVF sooner but insurance doesn’t cover anything 😓
Just did our first round of IUI and it cost $290 pit of pocket. Fingers crossed we get lucky this round but we’ll try IUI a few times before IVF if it comes to that

I did one IUI and then on to IVF. I absolutely don’t regret it because I think I’m pregnant right now from our second transfer.. but the IVF process was ROUGH on my body. I’m much better now, but I did end up in the hospital and had to have an extra unplanned surgery. I’d say to do one, maybe 2 more IUI’s.

I only did one round of IUI, similar situation, PCOS, shit lining, shit egg quality, sperm not so great. I wasn’t even given the option of another IUI, dr said go straight to IVF.

I didn’t do any iui and went straight to ivf. I transferred 2/11 so I’m in my first cycle now. I do want to say though my cousin is 12 weeks pregnant with twins from her 7th and final iui! It was her last one and her husband didn’t want to do ivf and it worked and she had no sex that month just the iui. My friend from work is due in May with her iui baby. It was her 6th and last and she was starting to prep for ivf and with only 2% chance it worked. So some success stories after multiple tries but I know it isn’t the solution for everyone so do what is best for you and your situation!!!!!💞💞💞💞💞💞
