Things you wish you knew ?

Im being induced tuesday morning
Is there anything you wish you had taken to the hospital that you didnt think to take or advice you wish you wouldve had ???

I had an emergency induction that ended up in emergency c- section. 
I wish I would have / could have eaten before hand. I didn’t know they were going to induce me and I hadn’t eaten all day. I went like 2 1/2 days without eating and being pregnant and hungry in the hospital was so fun lol. 
I was so thankful for the chapstick I packed. 
I wish I had packed more gowns. It was uncomfortable with leggings against my stitches. 
I wish I would have listened to the nurse when she told me to get the epidural before the dr broke my water. She said if I’m just going to get it anyway why not just get it but I wanted to try to labor standing and sitting on a ball. Fuckkkk the pain from contractions after they broke my water... holy hell I should have just gotten it. Having to go thru all that pain while my nerves from the epidural was awful. 
An extra long phone charger to reach onto the bed. 
An extra bag for all of the stuff the hospital gives you. 
One of those little hand massager things. Back labor fuckin sucks.

U don't need the kitchen sink! Lol I use to always over pack and then not use 99% of it. I would bring loads of "entertainment" for my husband and I. Word puzzles cards stuff like that tons of stuff for the baby but never used most of it. The hospital provided most of it and I didn't need the entertainment because my husband and I talked and my labor progressed fast. Just  try to take things u are actually going to need u think. Everything u take there u have to bring home and unpack. And my hospital send u with a bunch of stuff anyway.

A binder to put important papers in and a spare bag to bring home the extra goodies!

One thing that saved me and I’m so glad I brought were nipple guards. My son had such a difficult time latching and without those, I don’t think he ever would have eaten. Poor thing. And i WISH I would have eaten before! I was an emergency c section and you can’t eat so I also went two days with no food and was so sick and miserable.

Definitely eat something. Don’t over pack. They have everything. I don’t think there was anything I wish I had but didn’t. Instead I was more likely to say, “Why did I even bring this?” Although part of it is knowing yourself of course.
