Do newborns fit 0-3 clothes or only newborn..?

If no, how long until they can? (I know it all depends on each baby, but I just mean kind of generalized)

I know the others gave said and you mentioned. It really just depends on the baby. Mine didnt fit in 0-3 nor newborn, preemie only at 36 weeks. So for that reason I only have preemies and newborn sized washed ready to go and in my bag. As I get closer to my due date and the baby still hasn't come I'll dk a few small 0-3. 
And brands also vary in size too.

My daughter was 6 lbs 4 oz. at birth and was in newborn for 3 months and then was in 0-3 months until she was about 6 months old. My daughter has always been little and a slow grower, so it obviously depends on the baby.

With my first I had heard from others that there was no need for newborn clothes. We only packed 0-3 mo for the hospital and they were huge (6lb 3 oz baby)   luckily I had received a late gift that was still in my car and it was newborn size.   My son was in newborn size for at least a month, and newborns go through a lot of outfits so we had to do some last minute shopping. 
I'd recommend having a couple outfits to get you started just in case. You can always do like we did and order more (online shopping is a great way to stay awake in the middle of the night)

My son was around 7lbs and newborn clothes fit him perfectly. He could also wear size 0-3. They were slightly big, but definitely still wearable.

Newborn typically up to 8 lb.  my babe was 8.5 at birth and never got to use any of it.  If you have. Smaller baby, they can wear 0-3 but will be roomy for a month or so.

Completely depends on your child's birth weight. My daughter will have no hope of fitting newborn clothes. she's being estimated at 9 1/2 lbs right now and we have 2 weeks to go. 😖

Depends on the weight. The newborn clothes I’ve got fit baby’s up to 9lb, then it’s on to sit 0-3 months. Also different places size their clothes slightly differently so a mix of sizes would be better
