How long does a baby stay wobbly or clumsy after learning to walk?

I’m just wondering my son started walking at like 10.5 months and my mil says he should be walking better since he’s about to turn one next week. I feel like he still has some time but he still falls and loses his balance and all that but she’s making me think he shouldn’t be this clumsy... mil really know how to make you question yourself haha

Your MIL sounds like she knows it all, but doesn’t. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Most babies take months to walk fairly steady and has nothing to do with age.

My daughter started walking around 14 months, her 2nd birthday is in May and she is still so clumsy. Babies and toddlers just are clumsy I don’t think it’s a big deal, but if you are genuinely concerned bring it up to your pediatrician. I’m sure I’ve asked my daughters dr some stupid questions but when it comes to little ones if you’re worried or unsure it doesn’t hurt to ask.

There’s a reason they’re called toddlers! Their legs are brand new, and walking is a totally new thing. Some babies get the hang of it more easily than others, just like some babies talk earlier than others. I wouldn’t worry too much!

My daughter started walking about 9-10 months...she's still clumsy as all get out....she turns 2 this month 😂🙄

My son didn’t start walking until 15 months and a month later he’s still pretty clumsy and running into things a lot. I wouldn’t worry about it since he’s ahead of schedule anyways

My babies started walking at 6 months and didn't get great at it til 10 to 12 months depending on how level the ground was.
