Can you have contractions and not even know it?

I was at my 37 week appt a few days ago and the ultrasound tech was checking the baby. She said oh your stomach feels real hard and asked if I felt the contraction. I felt a little tightening but I thought it was just because I was laying on my back. I hate laying on my back, it always feels heavy and makes me feel sick lol.

I did. I thought I was having Braxton Hicks then my water broke. It wasn’t painful at all

In all honesty my tummy feels pretty tight a lot lately with some pain here and there but I've had pain since 36 week (I'm 38 weeks today) so it's my new normal at this point. I'm a first timer so I have no idea what I'm meant to be feeling no matter how many articles I've read! 😂 I may have had a contraction or Braxton hicks but I have no clue. I think I've been losing buts of my mucus plug since 36 weeks and it's egg white and clear with a load of creamy off white discharge. I'm loosing more and more of this snotty clear thick egg white mucus and baby had dropped so I'm praying labour comes soon! 
You know your over the pregnancy when your so uncomfortable that your no longer scared of giving birth! 🤣😂

Yes, I didn’t even have Braxton Hicks it if I did I didn’t feel them. After my water broke I went to the hospital and they hooked me up to the machine and were like “you know you are in active labor right now, these contactions are regular” I wasn’t feeling a thing.
