Taxes and child support? Update

My daughter is 5 an her dad only paid child support twice. He owes about 2000-3000. He hasn't paid since 2017. If he doesn't say he pays child support on his taxes or anything, would they take it out of his taxes?
It is court ordered & has been going on for 3 years. He called n told them I don't want child support BEHIND MY BACK in 2017. But the amount still keeps going up? They don't take it from his paycheck automatically or nothing so I'm not sure what's going on with it?

If he gets a check back, they will garnish it. But i know for a fact, that texas child support wont take legal action unless you start the ball rolling. All they do is add it up for you. Look if he missed one month. You have to call then and want enforcement done. Theyll send a note. Then after the second month YOU need to call again, theyll send another note. This will have to be three months in a row. Then they will take him to court. But you need to do all the calling.

You should go to court about the fact he owes you so much. If you have a legit child support case set up they should take the money straight out of his pay checks and send it to you.

If he doesnt or does the irs will know regardless. Child support puts a garnish on his taxes to pay what he owes. Now thing is if he is married. They will send the money to child support but you will not see any of it until after 6 months. They allow his wife to claim the money if it comes down to it.
