Are there any studies that prove that makeup is emotionally damaging to a kid?

I see so many parents against it, and to each their own, but are there any real studies that prove letting your kid wear makeup damages their psyche?

I wouldn’t say damages, but it certainly affects their self image. Girls who grow up wearing make up as kids are more likely to continue to wear it into their teens and adult years. They often have issues with feeling beautiful in their skin without make up. Many reach a point where they won’t go anywhere without make up. Girls who don’t wear it as kids don’t as often feel the need to wear it in their teen years and tend to be more comfortable in their skin.
