Baby size?

Question

I'm 36 weeks and my OB still hasn't done measurements or growth scans on baby.. or non stress tests/cervix checks. I'm a FTM so I'm not sure when all of these should be happening, but I also have gestational hypertension so I'm slightly on the high risk side of things. When do these things typically happen? He did say I would likely be induced before my due date, but shouldn't he be checking the size of the baby before making that call?

Unless a doctor feels like the pregnancy is high risk, those things don't happen in a normal Pregnancy. 
Normally people get the 12 and 20 week scans and then it's just measuring the uterus and using Doppler at each appointment. NSTs, growth scans, and others don't happen for no medical reason. My doctor doesn't do cervix checks until 39-40 weeks at request so ask your doctor what's normAl in your office.

I go in Tuesday for a growth test. To my knowledge there is nothing wrong with my baby that I have been told. Maybe ask him about it and see what their policy is? Everywhere is different

I’m high risk for pre term labor, I got an ultrasound every two weeks starting at 16-24 weeks then I didn’t get any more as everything looked normal. Baby was measuring 4 days ahead at my anatomy scan. When I ask my doctor if baby was a good size he says yes everything looks good.

Its completely up to the doctor. During my first pregnancy, only have the few ultrasounds to make sure baby was growing correct, etc but never got a cervix check or nst. This time I'm considered high risk, have had a few cervix checks just due to my preterm history and some symptoms I was having but no growth scans and my dic didnt say anything about the nst at my 34 week check. Maybe at my 36 this Friday but who knows.

Also non stress tests aren’t a routine thing, they do those when they have a reason to monitor the baby. And cervix checks are usually offered at 36+ weeks but they’re not necessary

Usually they don’t do growth scans unless there’s a reason to think baby isn’t growing right. I had a growth scan at 32 weeks but that was only because I wasn’t gaining a lot of weight (baby is right on track though)

I’m surprised that with hypertension you haven’t had a growth scan. I have it too and that’s why I had a scan around 33 wks. I would ask next time you’re there. They discovered I also have extra fluid so now I have bio phys profile ultrasounds  on a weekly basis.
