When I first went to get birth control, I asked if it would help me gain weight and the answer I got was this. Its not something that can really be determined, however generally people who are more prone to gaining weight are at higher risk of gaining weight and vice versa. It will most likely not help you gain weight if you naturally struggle with gaining. In my case, that was proven true because I didnt gain weight and on top of that I had noticeably lower appetite and went down a few pounds. Gaining weight was even more of a struggle than not being on birth control
