My hair stinks...

I can literally only go a day without washing it because the second day it will smell.. not my hair itself but my scalp.. no matter what i do or try it smells.. i can’t use perfumey shampoo because within an hour my hair will stink i can only use head and shoulders.. i want to try going a few days because my hairs so dry from washing it everyday or every other day.. anyone have any ideas what this is?? Is it a fungus on my scalp..? If I’m at home and i don’t wash it the second day i can literally smell it on my pillow case 😩 it’s no embarrassing
