How was your baby after daycare?

Very nervous FTM mom here! My son is 12 weeks and starting daycare in 3 weeks and I can almost guarantee I am more nervous than he will be. Just the thought of leaving him at daycare and being back at work brings me to tears. We really like the daycare he’ll be attending so I know I just need to get through the transition of returning to work after having been off for leave.

Can any mamas share your experience with how your baby was after attending daycare for the first time? Did you notice any separation anxiety from them or any changes with breastfeeding? I exclusively BF so I’m hoping he doesn’t have issues going back and forth between the bottle and breast.

I have all the same questions! I go back to work tomorrow. My husband will be home with our daughter for 2 weeks, then daycare. She will be 15 weeks when starting. I’m so nervous about naps!!

I got back to work about 2 weeks ago. I can definitely say that the first few days were hard. I was very sad and emotional but at the same time, i was excited to get back to work and meet my coworkers. It gave a little break and the feeling you get after you get off to get your LO is indescribable.

This is my second babe going through daycare at 12 weeks. Both did great!!!! Separation anxiety did not come until much later. I love my current daycare. I EBF too, so start practicing the bottle here and there beforehand. I had zero issue going back and forth between bottle at daycare and nipple at home . That all said, it is hard on me when they are so young. I felt much better about it when they could sit up on their own. I definitely thought about quitting for a couple months and I like my career. It eventually passed and I am thankful for my awesome daycare!

My girl is 12 weeks tomorrow and she will be starting daycare on Monday when I go back to work. Hoping for a good experience! The daycare we are using has an app we can get and we can see what she’s done that day and they put pictures on there for you so I’m hoping that will make me feel more comfortable that day

My little girl has been at daycare for about a month and a half. I was super nervous too. The infant room has a morning and afternoon teacher. She naps longer for the morning one and eats better for the afternoon one. We also have to send different bottles than the ones she uses at home. (She is formula fed).I didn't notice any separation anxiety but she was younger when she started. Her first day was her 2 month birthday. This was her first day. :)I hope my answer helped. Let me know if you have any others. I will answer the best I can based on my experience.
