1 month old keeps rubbing face and knocking out his pacifier and then immediately cries for it
Lately he’s been vigorously rubbing his face with his fists while falling asleep, and when he does this his pacifier comes out and he immediately starts crying for it. I just fed him and put him down and he started doing it every 2 mins. I had to sit next to him for the past 30 mins just to keep putting it back in. I noticed this isn’t the first time this happened either; but this is the first time he’s done it for this long.
Has anyone else had this issue?
I’m thinking his face may be itchy, or it’s just a natural reflex that babies have when they’re tired and falling asleep. He’s only 1 month so he can’t put the pacifier back in on his own yet. I have a couple wubbanub pacifiers that I was gonna introduce to him once he could start grasping things on his own, but any solutions for right now?
