Announcement guilt??

Does anyone else feel guilty after telling someone about the baby? I'm 11 weeks and I told a lady at work I'm pregnant and while it was nice and it feels good being able to get it off my chest, I kinda feel like I'm jinxing myself now :/ like by saying it something awful will happen. Just me being paranoid and overthinking it???

Yes! I told my parents and my sister but I felt I really needed to for support. I’m 8w6d and I told one of my really good friends but afterward I felt a little guilty. I also didn’t tell my boyfriend that I told her because he wants to wait until after the first trimester. I felt the same way about jinxing it. But honestly, what will be, will be. We can’t hurt things just by telling another person but I totally get where you are coming from.

We’ve only told a handful of people. Parents and best friends that we will later on ask to be godparents. Other than them, maybe 5 other people know. I want to start telling others, but I’m nervous. It’s too early. 11 weeks tomorrow. We heard the heartbeat at our ultrasound that was at 6 weeks 3 days. 127 bpm. Tried at 8 weeks, but it’s a little early to necessarily hear with the Doppler. We don’t go back for an appointment until March 6th. (Next ultrasound won’t be until anatomy scan at 20 weeks) We will tell everyone after that appointment at our housewarming party on the 9th. We’ll be 13 weeks. I’m just hoping all is well and baby is growing strong and is healthy.
