Bleeding after fertility check

Hi. So, 4 days ago i had a full fertility check (us of the ovaries and uteris, filling with contrast dye, some sort of "balloon" that they filled my uteris with, an egg count, etc). This was really painful, so i wasn't very surprised when i saw in the evening the same day that i had spotted, however the bleeding has increased and today i have dark red bleeding with clotting?? First of all, Is this normal after this checkup? I have not yet ovulated this cycle, i am supposed to ovulate next week, so it is most sertainly not my period. I also had a very early mc last october, and was wondering if it maybe some "left overs" that they kind of flushed loose?
