Warning: Constipation can send you to the ER
I’ve been struggling with constipation the entire first trimester. Milk of magnesia, coffee, fiber, and fruit has helped. But before I realized it I had slacked on the milk of magnesia and found myself at the ER today thanks to an impacted bowel. It was painful and embarrassing, but thankfully something that was easily fixed. I know how sidetracked and busy we can get. I just wanted to remind everyone to track your bowel movements. It had been almost a week since I had a somewhat normal, soft bowel and I didn’t even realize it until it was too late.
