What is your occupation?

Question

I'm in college and am always interested in what the most common/popular jos are. I'm also interested in what you may have majored in or even if you didn't go to college. I'm a business major but I know so many people that are doing nursing mostly because of the amount of available jobs in that field and the salary. (A few of these people don't like blood and dealing with people dieing). Share whatever experiences and thoughts you'd like.

I'm a Claims Adjuster. I went to college to major in Biochemistry and at the last minute realized that wasn't going to work. I never thought I'd be in insurance but it pays well and it's an industry that isn't going anywhere. It can be tough, I'm in auto insurance and there are way more car accidents than I thought happened lol, but it's rewarding work to get people back on the road and happy.

Hi I'm a business major as well. I have a passion in cosmetology so I plan on opening a business in that field. This is my last year of school so I plan on enrolling in a cosmetology school for next fall. I also want to do another business venture with one of my closest friends who is a social work/ sociology major. We want to work with kids in our city (Philadelphia). I have a lot of ventures I want to work on. Especially because I don't like to sit still and I get tired of the same thing. So I know keeping myself busy was a must. Business majors (general) can have any job they want because they have such a wide range. And can create any job they want. Just have to find your passion. Good luck!

I'm an assistant manager at a wireless company currently juggling the idea of college. I have a daughter, am no longer with her father and it all just seems to be a bit much. I know for sure I want to go back. I'm one of those nursing majors but not because of the money. I was in our high schools nursing program (HOSA) && loved it so I know that's what I want to do!
