Will BC help?

I am 15 years old and I am debating whether or not to go on birth control. I have never had acne before, and every single time I get my period I breakout. Probably the hormones and stress, and I’ve been thinking if I show go on birth control so it can regulate my hormones and my acne too. Anyone on BC that’s had the same problem and it’s resolved it? Share your experiences with birth control in the comments. I know it doesn’t work the same for everyone but I just want to hear what you guys have to say. I have also heard downsides like, saying you can gain weight, etc.

As you can see my face is pretty clear it’s just my period.

i got on the lowest dose of birth control pills there were when i was 15 . it helped so much with my hormonal migraines , acne , heavy periods , and horrible cramping . i suggest getting on birth control because when i did start getting sexually active , it was a life saver because i didn’t have to worry .

Birth control has worked wonders on my acne and made my periods easier but i would still get acne during the “break” when i took the placebo pills and would get my period. i’m not sure if it’s because of the change of hormones in my body or what but if you’re only doing it for the acne i wouldn’t suggest it as your first option unless you’re also sexually active. i also gained a ton of weight and it effected my mood for a couple months when i first started.
