Is this a good idea?

So I am pregnant with baby #2 and my kids are going to be 16 months apart. I don't really want to do a baby shower cause I don't want to have a back to back baby shower 😬 so here is my idea: instead of a baby shower have a baby play date since almost all my friends kids are the same age as my first and celebrate the new baby that way. What do you all think?

That's a fun a idea. I know a lot of people do baby sprinkles. Some accepts small items, some do just diapers, some dont accept any gifts and just celebrate with food.

If they are different genders you should absolutely have another baby shower, but just call it a baby sprinkle. I’m pregnant with baby 2 another girl and they will be three years apart. I’m having a sprinkle and I registered for some new items. A double stroller, another car seat, a few new outfits, diapers, wipes, baby books, and small items like that. 😊

My babies will be 21 months apart! I plan to have a sprinkle since baby #1 was a boy and baby #2 is a girl. Just don’t need any bug items just clothes pink stuff bedding that’s about it 💙💗

Typically people don’t have a second baby shower after the first anyways so that would be a fun idea. I was thinking when me and my so have baby number too we’d just do a fun family dinner or something to celebrate baby number 2s life because that’s basically what a baby shower is. But without all the gifts.

You can do that! But you can also accept diapers and wipes since you’ll most likely need those more than anything else. My kids are gonna be 2 years apart so I saved everything. I just had to get diapers, wipes, and clothes since they’re different genders and I had so much blue clothes.
