12 DPO, 2 week wait almost over but not BFP

I thought I saw a vvfl on 8DPO and that got my hopes up but I tested today and it’s a BFN, not even a faint line. I’m so discouraged. I waited to test hoping I would see that line a bit darker. I don’t understand how that happens, the first week of the two week wait I had all the symptoms. Cramps, sore boobs I even had a random cold. But these past few days, closer to my period, nothing. How do y’all deal with dissappointment ? It’s just hard cause I really thought this was my month
