My current boyfriend and I went to high school together and both grew up poor in a very poor area of Northern California. We reconnected and started dating about 1.5 years ago, and at the time we were living in the LA area. I loved it. We had a nice lifestyle with nice cars, trips to different places, good money, etc. Then he lost his job (not his fault, long story) and we were out of choices and had to move back to Northern California. His family has land here, and on that land is a crappy 50 year old double wide trailer. This is where we now live. The place is falling apart. We had to sell our nice cars. Everything of our nice lifestyle disintegrated.

I am now finding myself resenting him. I know it's not his fault that he lost his job, but I feel like my life was taken away from me.

He is a wonderful man, the type of guy that you want to marry and procreate with. But I'm just not happy because of where we live, and the change in our financial lifestyle. Am I a bad person for feeling this way? If you were in my predicament, would you stay? Or would you move back and start over?

EDIT: I am so surprised at all the judgement here. I just needed some support - it's not easy to adjust to such changes in your life. I'm not a gold digger. I had to quit my job for us to move. I'm just an average person, finding myself struggling with a massive change in my life that I dont know how to deal with. So, be polite or dont respond.
