Boyfriend?

I’m 14 and I’m a sophomore in high school. A lot of my friends and the people in my grade are older than me (16+) and almost all of them have had boyfriends before and have been dating since middle school. I’ve been taking to this guy who is interested in dating me. But when my parents found out they told me I couldn’t date because I was to young and I ended up having to friendzone the guy, but I know he still likes me. Should I keep talking to him anyway or just move on and wait until later to start dating boys even though I’m ready now.
