That looks like an at home drug test or HIV test. All of the at home herpes tests I’ve seen only have 1 test line. And the only way to know if you have herpes is to have the open sores biopsied during an outbreak.

Men can actually carry stds (like herpes) without any symptoms and then pass it on to their partners. He may have picked it up along the way and passed it to you a long time after he initially contracted it.
