Anyone else terrified?!?!

I'm so afraid to have a tiny life to care for. I had a horrible childhood and so did my husband. We waited until we were financially stable and mature enough to have a baby .Being a parent is a dream for both of us and I really just want my child to have a healthy happy upbringing . I'm so excited but soo afraid. I'm so overly anxious and I can't sleep at night thinking about it!

Your past experiences will bring out the best in you both, just because you had a horrible upbringing doesn't mean you'll treat your baby the same, it will be the exact opposite. Try not to worry about it, take each day as it comes, it'll come naturally, by writing this post, it just shows how much you care. I didn't have the best upbringing and I always thought I wouldn't be able to cope with being a mother but my oast experiences have only made me stronger and past experiences doesn't define you.

My husband and I had really rough childhoods, but honestly I feel like it will help both of us to be better parents because we know exactly what we DON'T want to be like, and what we would have wanted in a parent, so it is easier for us to get a feel for what we should or should not do for our little one as she grows

I didn’t have a bad childhood but it wasn’t that good either. My dad gave us a stable home but we lacked a dad who wasn’t at work 24/7. We had a drug addict mom with abusive boyfriends and no real support system. I was so scared having my son I wanted him to have the best chance at a normal life. At times I wish I had a sliver of what he get. Home cooked meals, healthy lunches and a parent to cuddle and hug with whenever he wants. 
If it’s something you want you will be able to give it to your child. :)

Ouu i just cried about this no lie, but i think we all got this. If you need more security just take parenting classes and talk to each other about it.

I thought that since I had a baby at 35, everything would be great 😂😂😂 not at all! You are going to learn as you go BUT you also already know what not to do from the way you grew up. Motherhood is tough-we worry even when we don’t have to!
