I am very lucky that my partner includes me in parenting decisions involving his 9 year old daughter.... even luckier that her bio-mom includes me! Her mother knows my wedding to her ex is coming up soon so she called me to make sure it was okay that she got her daughters hair cut. I’m involved in parent-teacher conferences and pretty much anything to do with OUR daughter. The bio-mom is remarried as well so there are no hard feelings between any of us. Everyone has moved on and the way we look at is this— we are all parents to this child. We all want what is best for her. So we include everyone when it comes to her.

But you do need to understand that you can't take it personal. Co parenting is hard already and now imagine him needing to co parent with her and you at the same time. Give him space as long as things are going smoothly there is no reason to get involved. More advice dont even try to get involved the drama that comes with it is not worth the headaches or fights that come out of it.
