Promise...something

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year, we decided last week to stop having sex so that we can do things right (for us) and focus on other parts of our relationship. He has talked about marrying me but said that it’s too soon to propose yet - I agree. I would like to get him something to mark my commitment to him but he wouldn’t wear a ring. Any suggestions about what I could get him? I thought maybe a miraculous medal (my dad wears one) but I’m open to ideas!
