Question for cervix checkers

What should your cervix feel like the day before af is due, and the day af arrives?

I’ve checked more consistently during other cycles. But this cycle I’ve been checking since ovulation. I spotted at 11dpo and checked today at 12dpo and it’s medium in height, and super soft, but I can’t tell whether it’s open or closed. Af is due 14dpo on Wednesday, and along with a few other symptoms, I’m wondering if this is a good sign?
