Back to work - baby refusing bottle

Em

Em

I went back to work a few weeks ago 3x/week. Next week I start back at full time (5x/week from 9-5).

My mom is watching my 6-month-old for me at my house. My husband works from home so he's there too.The first few days, my daughter took the bottle just fine. For the past 2 weeks though, she's completely refusing it from both my mom and husband....like she won't eat until I get home. 😢

What do I do? Will she eventually get hungry enough and take it? Do I need to go home and feed her?

We stuck with the same bottle nipple and remained patient with him. Sometimes my mom or husband gave him milk by cup (shit glass) if he was feeling amenable. Eventually, he decided it was worthwhile to just take the bottle, thanks to my husband’s persistence. He tried different positions and such. Now he gets really excited when the milk pouch goes in the kiinde warmer! Don’t worry— baby will make up for it with additional nursing in the evening/at night until the bottle becomes the better option throughout the day. All will be well!

Give them a shirt you’ve worn all day and it smells like you and give it to the baby before you give the bottle or wrap the bottle in the shirt. Or maybe try a different nipple to see if she prefers a different feel
