Implant Birth control?

Question

I’m not due til July but I’m just exploring my options now, can you ladies share your experiences with the implant? The iud and implant are pretty much my only choices in BC so I’m wondering what are the side effects on implant I’ve read horrible stories online but that goes along with anything else you look up.

I had implant for 8 years (changed every 3 years) it was fine for me, my periods stopped and if I had one it was up to twice a year, I have  no bad things to say about it at all! I had it removed in March after having it for 8 years and it took me 7 months to fall for my second baby, I fell October! The only thing is when it was removed my cycles were not the same as before I had the implant, they were slightly irregular, I won’t be getting the implant again though, I’m going for a hormonal free contraceptive I’m thinking the I’m thinking the non hormonal coil next

The implant was the only form of birth control that worked really well for me! I had tried just about everything, and I will definitely be getting it again after baby comes. No nasty side effects for me, didn’t really get a period for the first 1.5/2 years. It differs for everyone, but I’d recommend it based on my personal experience.
