Any diabetic moms to be out there?

I’m just wondering if there is anyone else out there that is going through what I am going through.  I am a type 2 diabetic.  I just found out I was pregnant about a week ago.  I saw my diabetes doc today and they have put me on this crazy, rigorous schedule of doc appts, blood sugar checks, and insulin.  Lots & lots of insulin.  It’s kind of scary to know that the affect it could have on my baby if I mess up.  Anyone else in my boat?

Hey! I have type 1 for 18 years. It was always uncontrolled but when I found out I was pregnant with my miracle baby I got it under control overnight! I also had weekly doctors appts to keep me on track and get my A1C to a good range but it was all doable with self control, especially knowing my little baby was depending on me 😊 
Your meds shouldn’t interfere with the pregnancy and the health of the baby.

Yep. I see my OB every two weeks, take plenty of insulin, send my numbers weekly. It’s stressful but worth it.
