My boyfriend has been sad lately. What can I do to cheer him up?

He’s been sad this past week since he left his car at a car shop to get it fixed. That’s probably one of the reasons why he’s been feeling down but he’s been saying how instead of moving up he’s been going backwards in life, and that when he thinks something is going good he gets hit with bad shit. Also someone stole his credit card information and bought things that made him overdraft his card so he’s been feeling pretty down. I never really seen him this way, it makes me feel sad too. I tried to assure him that things will fall into place and everybody has situations that they have to deal with. I know there’s nothing I can do but I just feel so bad he doesn’t deserve all of this. He’s such a good man. 😔 any advice would be appreciated
