Twin prank

So I just got back from my ultrasound appointment. There was one baby but she gave me two photos. I thought it'd be funny to take a pic captioned "twins" and send it to some family members who already knew. Well everyine laughed but my sister in law and now shes making a big deal about it and is upset.

Was I wrong? I told everyone right after I sent the photo.
