Late period but negative pregnancy test 🤔

I’m so confused and frustrated right now! My period is never late!! I always start around the same time every month (cycle day 26-28) and no later then cycle day 28. I’m currently on cycle day 32 and still no AF. I took a first response pregnancy test this morning and it was negative. Is the test accurate at this point and there’s no chance I could be pregnant or could it have been too soon still for a positive? Has anyone else had this experience?

Side note: I have the usual period symptoms still like cramping, headaches, fatigue, etc....🤷🏻‍♀️
