Is being apathetic about my life the same as being suicidal?

I feel like I don't care if I live or not. I don't have any active plans for self harm. It's just life if I get into a car accident, oh well. Is this suicidal?

When I was seeing a doctor about my depression and anxiety I had the same feelings. She said thoughts like that are “passive” thoughts (vs. active “I’m going to harm myself” thoughts). They are still not good because while you might not be suicidal, the thoughts may prevent you from taking care of yourself properly. 💖 you matter. People would miss you if you ceased to be.

Sounds like you’re depressed more than anything. Which in the long run can lead to being suicidal. Try to talk to a therapist about this, maybe it can help :)
