Opk in tww?

So I have an extra opk laying around. Will that give me anything if I am pregnant? I am 12dpo and AF is due in 2 days. I have heard that you can use them in place of a pregnancy test as it will show up positive? Has this been true for anyone?

Me!! I just tested with OPK 12dpo just for fun and the it came out positive. I tested the next day with morning urine on a digital pregnancy test and it was positive!

So took one out of curiosity and it's negative but not losing hope until I miss AF!!

It works because the hcg cross reacts with the strip. It is less sensitive than a pregnancy test, though.

It accurate to test for pregnancy as you can have a lab surge just before your period which would give a positive opk. Just use a pregnancy test
