Anyone else had this with their baby?

My 4 month old, has had a wheezing & crackling in his chest for a few weeks now & now he's developed a cough to go with it.  He was given antibiotics but it never took it away & now the doctor is saying, it could take a few weeks for it to go away due to the time of year.  Just wondering if any of the other babies have had this?

i’d take him to a children’s hospital for them to do more test and take a better look at him. my daughter had wheezing, raunchy breathing followed by this horrible cough and they diagnosed her w/ croup (i guess it’s common in the winter) it’s better to be safe than sorry. personally, since my baby’s dr is shitty i wouldn’t trust if they said to wait a few weeks esp if the antibiotics haven’t worked!

My son got sick like that when he was around 4 months, was given antibiotics but it did nothing. The following week i took him back to the docs who said it should be fine just keep givin him the antibiotic. Me being a first time mum and freaking out as to how he was took him to the hospital, he was almost lifeless on the bed  by the time they seen him and needed oxygen to help him breath. He was diagnosed with bronchitis and staying in for the week to help him recover.

A cough can take weeks to go away if when not sick.

My son was like that up until he was about 9mo. Took him to the doctor a good times and was referred to hospital twice but the couldn't find anything wrong really, just a slight cough that sounded worse than it was 🤷 it can be worrying but some kids are just a little wheezy I think!
