Crush problems

I think I might have a crush. He lives very far away and he is leaving for school out of country since he is a year over me. He has a cousin that I REALLY DO NOT LIKE!!! (Picture those all caps words in red) Well I like him but I don't really know him. And he could turn out like his cousin. I'm just scared of how his personality might turn out but mostly I need help getting his attention without him thinking I have the wrong intentions and I'm a hoe.
