My dr doesnt do a 12 week scan, I was told I'd only receive 1 ultrasound and that's at 19 weeks... anyone else experience this?

I did receive an early scan to ensure the pregnancy was viable since I had some cramping but they said that's not normally their protocol.

I was told that insurance will pay for 2 ultrasounds. My midwife did one at 8 weeks that was to confirm dating and viability that they didn’t bill for. It is standard to do one at 20 weeks and I am also doing the NT scan at 12 weeks so those will be my 2.

My doc does a dating scan, 12 week NT, and then the 20 week. Last pregnancy I opted out of the NT because of the high rate of false positives.

I believe with Medicaid they only pay for 2 US. That’s what I was told with my son but that was 2016. Now I have my insurance through my employer and so far I already had 2 US . They didn’t give me a cap . My doctor even offers 3D/4D US ...

My doc only does two scans during the pregnancy. One in the beginning to determine pregnancy is viable and then the anatomy scan at 18-19weeks.

That’s me too, I don’t even get an early scan ☹️ 12 week apt next Friday then my ultrasound is at 20 weeks.

My doctor said because we were doing the harmony test, the 12 week scan was a waste of time. He only gave me a referral for the 20 week scan. I really want to see my baby sooner!

With my son that was how it was. I got one ultrasound at 20w. I went out at 18w and got one done to know the gender though.

My doctor only does a dating scan, then another between 16-20 weeks. 
I’m going to a sneak peek place tomorrow to get an additional one for only 50.00.

I’ve had at least 1 ultrasound each month since 5 weeks they did the ds ultrasound on Monday (12weeks)
