Insurance companies...uggg. Anyone have luck with fertility drug discount programs?

My Doctor wants me to do Gonal F with my IUI. My insurance company told me it was an approved drug I just needed pre authorization. Well they have since denied and told me to try clomid or femara. Both drugs I have already tried and they don't work for me. My doctor's office wants me to try a discount program to see if that works. I am set to pay out of pocket at this point (ouch) but going to give the program a shot. Has anyone had bad or good luck with something similar?
