When should I take maternity leave? I want time before baby arrives to relax & get ready. I’m over working already, it’s mentally draining! I’m currently 32w4d.

I’m working until I pop. But that’s because I want all the time with the baby after! I get 12 weeks.

I think it depends on how much maternity leave you get! I'm in Canada and have a choice between 12 months or 18 months. So I wouldn't mind a month before. BUT if you only get 12ish weeks. I'd stay as long as I was physically able and get the most time with baby.

I'm going out at 36 weeks and I. Never going back to work!

I'm going out of work at 36 weeks. My job makes me stand on my feet my entire shift with very few breaks. I worked 7 hours the other day and only got to sit down for 30 minutes. My legs and feet swell to much at this point to keep doing it for much longer. I saw if you are ready and your body isn't dealing with working very well, then go out when you feel comfortable!

I’m taking 3 weeks holiday before baby is due, then my maternity leave will naturally start on her due date.. 
Hopefully that will be plenty! 🤗 I actually can’t wait now!!!

I am taking off at 38.5 weeks. I personally cannot imagine what I would do at home if I took off at 36 weeks and then went over my due date making it over a month of being off. That’s just me though and everyone is different, do what’s best for you.
