Painless braxton hicks?

Anyone experience Braxton's Hicks that don't have as much pain as you thought they would? I had my son all natural 3 years ago so I know what contractions feel like but I had ALL back labor. With our girl I've had multiple pregnancy symptoms that I never experienced with our son. Here recently I've noticed my belly tends to tighten up on the sides and front and will be solid for about a minute or so then it relaxes. I just went to the doctor yesterday and everything is going great. I am 37 weeks exactly today yesterday we were told I am 1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced.
