Hook effect and spotting? Or..?

Question

Yesterday I had light to medium cramps and a bit of brown spotting, then some pink spotting. This morning the cramps have gone but I have more brown spotting  (more than yesterday). Also I've been doing cheap strip tests because Iike to see the hcg levels rise, and today I've got a lighter line :( I always test at the same time with fmu. 
I'm 5 weeks 5 days, first pregnancy. Do you think this is just harmless spotting and the hook effect or am I going to lose this? 
The first picture is 2 days ago before the spotting, the other pic is this morning.

Oh love. You need to stop testing. Its going to drive you insane and make you think things. I know women like to see the level rising but the further along in pregnancy you get, especially if you have higher levels, a pregnancy test line can actually show quite light because there's so much HCG in your system that the test can't physically detect all the HCG. Just stop testing. Unless you're bleeding bright red blood with clots and you're in a lot of pain and it's unbearable, just sit back and enjoy your pregnancy. If you keep worrying, the stress isn't good for you or your baby. And first trimester spotting is normal. As long as it's not a good of blood like your period
