Any nurses? I have a quick question about BP

I’ve been asked by my OB to take note of my blood pressure and just got a new at home monitor a few days ago. 
He just wants me to keep an eye on it but my diastolic readings are all over the place... 
I’ll range 133-144 for the systolic but then my diastolic will range from 68-94??? 
Is there something wrong with the bp monitor or is this normal? I try to wait at least 10 minutes before checking again...

And also... never measure right after you walked, ate something and so on... sit, relax for 10 minutes and measure.

Definitely wait at least ten mins before retaking. Taking it before then in the same arm can give you a false reading.

The diastolic number is when your heart is at rest. While that is a big range, there’s not necessarily something wrong. Ideally it would be under 80. But I had high bp when pregnant with my son and I had to monitor it a lot also.
