C section and tubes tied?

I’m having baby number 2/3 the end of this month via c section. I had a hard time getting pregnant, and I’m so blessed having twins so I know for a fact we are done having kids. I was going to get my tubes tied during the c section. Has anyone ever done this!? How was the outcome?

I got mine done after baby #4, c section, 10 months ago. The recovery was no different than baby #3 c section except I felt sore on the sides like menstrual pain which I didn't have with my previous c section. My periods were heavier and irregular for a few months as well and they're still slightly irregular. I still get my period every month, but sometimes it's every 3 weeks, sometimes 5 weeks. It's getting a little better each month so I'm hoping it will continue to improve. But I do very poorly with hormonal birth control, and getting pregnant again would pose a health risk at this point (I'm 39 and had preeclampsia with my last 2 pregnancies) so I still think it was the best option for me. I will say that it feels different not wanting to have more and I CAN'T have more. There are times even in my situation where I get sad that I can't have anymore. So make sure you're 110% certain. I know someone who has twins and swore she was done, then when the babies were 4 and it was easier, she unexpectedly wanted another and they had another baby. So don't make the decision just based on how you feel right now, carrying twins is rough. Make sure you're super duper done.

I'm having my tubes removed during my c section in may!! I have a friend that had hers tied and she so happy with her choice!! Just be 100% sure you are done!!

Thank you everyone! I had irregular periods, high testosterone, a miscarriage, and a lot of other issues. I also have bad issues with birth control. I ended up seeing a specialists and happened to get pregnant on my last dose of clomid after two years. It was pretty stressful emotionally and a lot on my body, so I’m sure I’m done. Just a little nervous for a c section!
