Going back to work after a loss
So I had a blighted ovum and a D&C procedure done yesterday(I was 10weeks). I’m a veterinarian so everyone at work knew I was pregnant, due to risk during surgery, unable to perform radiographs, etc.
I’m not sure how I’m going to handle going back to work on Monday. The head veterinarian knows what’s going on and likely told everyone(at least I hope she did). She also gave me yesterday and today off to recover, so I know most people likely know.
I don’t know if I should see if she did tell everyone that way I don’t have to. Also a lot of the technicians are close friends so I’m worried I’m going to break down when I see them since they likely will want to hug me and see how I’m doing....I’m usually a big hugger, but I’ve never been through something like this before so I’m sure I’m going to be a mess.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Have you been through this and how did it go? Also I’m worried it may happen again, we will likely TTC again in 2 months once my cycle returns. It was our first pregnancy and I’m heartbroken.
