Is it normal to not test HCG levels?

Is it normal to not test HCG levels with your first blood draw at the OBGYN?? I got the results back from my blood work and they just told me my blood type and that I’m free of STDs. I asked what my HCG level was and they said they didn’t test for it? I wanted that to ease my mind since my first ultrasound isn’t for another 2 weeks and I don’t feel pregnant 😭

Majority of drs only test if u’ve had previous loss. It’s not. Requirement. Most likely they did a qualitative hcg test which basically says yes or no. The quantitative measures the #

I don’t think my doctor did but the same doctor tested my friends levels on and off for 2 weeks because she had a miscarriage a month before
