Is health insurance a scam or business?

Now I have worked on both sides of health insurance whether medical insurance and now prescription insurance and I see costs of medical treatment and medications going through the roof.

Especially for diabetic care hell even Chemo. So I wanted to ask do you consider health insurance to be a scam for the sick and a booming business for the wealthy?

I have been on calls where parents are fighting for their children to get epi-pens or even inhalers that almost cost them a car note for just one month.

And now there are coupon sites that are out to help beat out insurance costs and I feel like unfortunately that is going to become a cash cow.

So what do you guys think?
