Let’s talk sleep training..
Sooo my 9 month old has been a co sleep baby at night mainly because my husband doesn’t want to let him cry. Well he is now becoming uncomfortable sleeping with us tossing and turning and fussing cause he can’t get comfy. I believe it’s time to sleep train. I started yesterday and he cried for 45 overnight. Eventually went back to sleep at about 1:30 and slept til 6:30 this morning. Which in my book is good. Seeing as I haven’t had tht much of a chunk of sleep in 9 months maybe longer lol. But my husband doesn’t agree that I should have allowed that.. I’m frustrated because I feel like if he isn’t going to help out at night ( he works full time and I stay home) then he shouldn’t have a say in any complaining about him being in our bed or sleep training. He complains he can’t sleep with the baby in our bed, but complains when I let him cry. I don’t have support in letting him cry it out. And before anyone judges me for letting him cry it out I have exhausted all other options, trying to soothe him just makes him more mad. And he is starting to inchworm himself off our bed at night. I’m exhausted and I feel it’s affecting other parts of my life and parenting and I feel if baby sleeps in his own bed and we can both get a good night sleep we will all be better off. Suggestions on sleep training, or getting my husband on board Please???
UPDATE!!!
Night 2 my lil guy cried for 29 min the first attempt threw up his bottle. Got him up let him play with his brother for about an hour and a half. Tried again, he cried for 15 min and then slept for 9 count them 9 glorious hours lol. I know it’s not tht much but holy moly have I missed my sleep haha. And the hubby didn’t fight me on it at all last night actually! Surprisingly. Thanks ladies.
