Do you miss the day your baby was born?

I don’t know if this is weird, but I miss that feeling of seeing her for the first time and the period straight after it - that first night in the hospital - she is my first child and it was all so magical. It still is, absolutely magical - but I miss that time - it went by too fast and I couldn’t soak it all in. 
It’s taught me to completely cherish these moments, because in a couple of months I’m going to miss this time also, and in a couple of years I’ll miss this whole period. 
Time is moving so fast! She’s already so big, I was sad when I realised she’s no longer going to be in 0-3 month old clothing. Like a bittersweet feeling of yay! She’s growing, but also whoa! Time is moving so fast. 
Anyways - just thought I’d share my rambling thoughts. 😭

As a mother who had a csection and then my boys were in the NICU hooked up to machines for more than a month, I have been getting baby fever because I really want a normal birth experience! I love my twins and when they came into the world, but I had a picture in my head of having my first baby and it didn’t happen that way. I have been having a little bit of ppd because of it.

I crave that feeling of seeing and holding her in my arms for the very first time. It was the happiest moment of my life and I’d gladly relive it. I do not miss the anxiety of not knowing what to do and the exhaustion after labor though.

I look at our hospital photos most days and I ache for it. Those days are A DREAM! I love everyday with her now, absolutely, but those days have a super special place in my heart. I love to think about it then look too see how far she's come in my arms! 💗

Nope. I’m happy to be past that. I had an emergency c section after PROM. I bled heavily during my surgery and was sick and shaking for a while after.
Between cluster feeding and my baby not letting me put her down, I couldn’t sleep for almost 5 days. My husband fell asleep on the hospital room couch once and I couldn’t wake him up with my voice. I couldn’t get out of the bed because I had the baby. My call button was on a phone on the floor and my nurse only saw me twice in the whole shift.
I spent a lot of time thirsty, with pain and sleepless. My baby was jaundiced and fighting the breast. I had no idea what I was doing and almost nothing was magical.
